Why I built Stampo
Paper stamp cards work. They also get lost, smudged, and forgotten in the wrong jacket. Stampo puts the card in the phone wallet, where it belongs.
Paper stamp cards work. They also get lost, smudged, taken out of one jacket and put back in another. By the time you're at the counter and the cashier is asking, you've already decided it isn't worth the conversation. The card is at home, or in the laundry, or in the wrong wallet.
That is the whole product. The card has to live where it cannot be left behind. The phone wallet, next to the boarding pass and the gym membership, is the only surface that fits.
So I built Stampo.
What Stampo actually is
Stampo is a digital loyalty card for small merchants. A café, a tattoo parlour, a smoothie bar, a small chain. The merchant signs up, picks a design, sets the stamp rule (buy nine, get the tenth, or whatever the shop already does), and gets a link they can print on the till or send by text. The customer taps the link, the card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and it stays there. Every visit, the merchant scans the QR on the customer's phone and the stamp lands in real time.
The wedge is that there is nothing to install. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are already on every phone in the room. The merchant does not need an app. The customer does not need an app. Neither side has to remember a password. The card looks like a loyalty card because it is one. It just happens to live in the wallet OS instead of a leather one.
The free trial runs the full product on real customers, including a real wallet pass. The Pro tier is what unlocks unlimited cards, the merchant-side stats that actually drive decisions, and the soft customer messaging that replaces the silence between visits.
Where it stands
Stampo launched in mid-June 2026 at stampo.cards. The onboarding flow is live, both wallet integrations are wired, and the first real merchants are running real cards on real customers. The first week surfaced the kinds of issues a closed beta doesn't catch: a logo upload that didn't enforce its own size limit, a footer link pointing at a page that didn't exist, a Google Wallet publishing review that needed a slightly different submission than the one I had prepped. All three got fixed inside forty-eight hours. The rest of the roadmap gets built in public.
